With COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) causing disruptions in supply chains in many industries throughout the world, Technik wants to reassure its customers that its operations are functioning normally. Equipment, spare parts, and service are not currently being affected by coronavirus or any measures being taken to limit its spread.
Technik does not sell equipment or parts that are manufactured in China or other southeast Asian countries that have been most greatly affected by coronavirus. Our primary suppliers are based in locations throughout northwestern Germany and the Czech Republic, which have so far experienced very little disruption from coronavirus. Lead times for equipment and spare parts from these suppliers are unaffected.
Technik’s sales, service, and parts operations are based out of its metro Atlanta headquarters. While Atlanta has experienced several isolated cases of coronavirus, no work or travel restrictions are in place, and operations are normal at Technik. Due to our capacity as a full-service equipment dealer with in-house parts and service departments, we are not reliant on our manufacturing partners or other third parties to support our customers, and full equipment support including spares and onsite service technicians continue to be available as normal.
In summary, operations with Technik remain normal, both for the sale and production of new equipment and the support of existing equipment with US-based parts and service. We will continue to monitor the situation in the US and internationally, and will advise our customers if conditions do change in a way that will impact Technik’s operations.
